A life made of cardboard boxes

Back in January, I mentioned that I had begun packing in anticipation of moving house at the end of March.  Packing has been been a long and eventful voyage of discovery.  Specifically, I've been discovering just how much stuff one person can accumulate while living in the same place for twenty years.  It's astonishing.

The new place needs a ton of work before it's ready for me to move in, but it's almost done.  At the old place, the vast piles of stuff (books, mostly) continue to be packed in anticipation of moving day.

Unfortunately, this has been swallowing up so much time that I have fallen behind my self-imposed schedule.  I could push ahead with Loyalties at the same time as the other stuff I'm doing, but I don't want to rush it based on my self-imposed (and, when it comes down to it, arbitrary) schedule.

I'm now aiming to publish Loyalties in April.  I'd rather it was a great book published late, than a mediocre book published on time.

And remember, pack boxes by weight, not by volume!
